Three on a Thursday #84

Managing two Three on a Thursdays in in two weeks?

Aren’t you lot lucky?

If you fancy some bass-hop, some funk-hop and some wicked beats, see below the fold

If you don’t, erm ,what are you doing reading my blog 😛

Been a while since I’ve posted anything from Dublin’s Finest Reggae-Hop crew, Dirty Dubsters, but Fire It Up is worth the wait. With a belting vocal from UK Hip-Hop legend Mystro , and gorgeous Specials-esque sax line giving it shades of  Ghost Town, it’s an ace (if slightly un-seasonal) track

The album drops in March next year, just in time for some serious summertime spins.

Next up are probably the slowest group in the world. I’ve been pestering them about their album for the last couple of years,  but with a name like Lazy Habits, what do you expect?

Perfect Sentence is yet another pin sharp slice of dancefloor catnip, with a storming horn line and quality rhymes from

These guys are a fantastic funk/hip-hop crew – If you *ever* get a chance to see them live do it.

The album *finally* drops on the 26th November. Seriously, buy it, it’ll be ace

Yet again, I’ve been rummaging through piles of Aussie Hip-hop, as there’s some brilliant tracks dropping over there. The latest discovery is the Spit Syndicate with the rather awesome Beauty in the Bricks (it’s also odd to see all the place I was on holiday crop up in their video)

About djsherlockohms

Obsessive music nerd for since his formative years, Sherlock Ohms finally pulled his finger out and started inflicting his collection of Funk, Soul, Hip-hop, Reggae, Breaks, Beats and random ephemera on the unwitting public in mid-2008. Since then he's graced the airwaves of Big Chill FM and Purple Radio, the stages of the Festinho festival, and the DJ booths of the UK fluffing for the likes of DJ Moneyshot, Boca 45 and Ugly Duckling. Whether it's early morning chilled wig outs, or eclectic party starting beat fests there's a reason they call him 'No Shit Sherlock' View all posts by djsherlockohms
