Did you miss me?
(in fact don’t answer that, you might hurt my feelings)
Apologies for the lack of a couple of weeks off – I was up in t’Midlands and we’ve only just got electricity up there, let alone the internet ..
Nevermind, I’m back in the land of civilisation now, so you lot get tunes.
First up is a spin on a slice of Cold Chillin’ goodness from the Golden Era. Freqnik & WDRE remix Big Daddy Kane’s Set it Off, giving it a slightly more mellow touch, but still keeping it thoroughly dancefloor friendly
Available as fer gratis over here
I had to throw this next one in, just as one of the tracks used brings back memories of my days playing drums in a student band.
I’ve featured Dave Remix, in various guises on the blog before, and he’s back again, blessing us with a cracking little mashup of student cheesefest standard The D’Vinyls / I Touch Myself, with b’boy classic Chad Jacksons / Hear The Drummer (Get Wicked), to give you I Touched The Drummer
Last up this week is We Ain’t Going Nowhere, a track from what I assume is the album that I mentioned in my last post, from perennial favourite, Dr Syntax, and The Mouse Outfit, who’re on this blog so much these days I should start charging them rent …
This one is a bit different from their last, with less of a reggae skank and more of an upbeat whomping horn line – seriously just listen to ’em – paired with one of the smartest UK Hip-Hop MCs you’re likely to hear anytime soon. Boom.

That mouse outfit tune is sweet! I too can not get enough Synners. Keep posting him! Just clocked that you’re in Bristol, about to send you some tunes, hope you enjoy!
