And just in time for Glasto as well, which to be fair descends into a Somme-like mire of cowshit and mud, complete with Trenchfoot and dodgy-food-van-related dysentery pretty much every other year.
Last night was mad prep for my eldest’s 8th birthday today (Happy Birthday Charlie!), so no red hot Thursday action from me, but I’m making up for it now.
Ok, I’ll admit it, in a haze of cheese, turkey and Quality Street, I forgot what day, hell, what week it even was it was, hence the non-emergence of anything on the blog from me, since before Christmas.
Ooops – best rectify that now.
(Oh, and many thanks for The Canteen and the thoroughly goofy and highly talents Mustard Brass Band for having me play on the 23rd – check those guys and gals out, especially if you like barefoot breakdancing tuba players, as pictured above)
Off to Cornwall (hopefully not as rainy as above) with a stack of mates for half term and I really should be packing, but first you lucky *lucky* people get to receive another weekly slab of the three best tracks to hit my ears this week, and there’s a couple of corkers in there – enjoy.
Apologies for the no show last week, but I was lazing, well getting rained on on the Atlantic Coast of France eating my own bodyweight in saucisson sec and forgetting what day it was (also the wifi was shocking out there …)
This one will be a bit of a mad dash this week and I’m writing this whilst allegedly packing for the family holiday, and discovering which bits of our camping gear is still covered with Gilcombe Farm mud from a more than slightly soggy, but still awesome FarmFestival.
(Oooops – forgot to hit ‘post’ before I went away for the weekend, so I’ll just jump in the time machine fix it … or just post it as is!)
Bit of a mad rush this week, as I’m off to the wonderful Farmfest in a mo – two days in a sunny (ahahahaha I’ve seen the weather reports) field. Hey, at least the tunes are going to be amazing.
Welcome to my digital equivalent of 221b Baker St. Here you'll find links to my sets and shows, and upcoming gigs that I'm playing.
I'll also be posting reviews, and other bits and bobs that catch my eye so if you've got a new tune, an interesting night, or just want to say hello, you can get hold of me at dj@sherlockohms.org
